Channel 4 Business Apprenticeship- London

Hi everyone,

Do you want to work in television?

What are the Channel 4 apprenticeships all about?

Our apprenticeships are about helping bright young people to get some experience in this industry, get some qualifications, and get paid at the same time. They’re our way of encouraging talented people, whatever their background and qualifications.
With an apprenticeship, we invite you to ASSwork in one of our departments for 12 months. You learn how everything works, what everyone does, and how it all fits into the bigger picture of Channel 4. And you work towards an NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3 at the same time. On top of that, we give you £14,500 for your hard work. We know. We spoil you.

What will I be doing?

Over the year, you get stuck into different long-term projects that count towards your NVQ. The projects you work on will depend on what department you’re in – but wherever you are, you get to experience what it’s like working in a forward-thinking, fast-paced media company.

Which departments can I work in?

Right now we have apprenticeships in Information Systems, Press, Music Services, Online and Finance. We also run apprenticeships with production companies and other great media partners work with – so, you could be out working at BOX TV, SB.TV or IMG Sports Media.

What kind of people are you looking for?

We’re looking for people who are mad about the media and ready to develop their skills on the job. You don’t need special qualifications, and you don’t need a degree – you just need a spark that sets you apart from the crowd. If you have already got a degree, maybe have a think about one of our internships instead.

Will you help me through it?

That’s what we’re here for. Whenever you need anything, just let the People Development Team know. It’s their job to cheer you on, and help you make the most of your year with us.
