About Get In. Get On.
We know how
important it is to get an insight into the world of work. We also know
it’s not always possible to get a work placement in a firm. Get In Get
On gives you the opportunity to take part in a virtual work experience
placement to learn about the finance, accountancy and financial services
sector.
The placement involves being matched with a firm from the sector and receiving e-career mentoring from a volunteer from that firm. You will also complete online learning units to help you better understand the sector and prepare you for entering a career in financial services and accountancy.
At the end of the placement you will receive a certificate to demonstrate that you have successfully taken part.
All of this is completed online, using a virtual platform. There are no phone calls, meetings or personal emails – all your learning and e-career mentoring conversations happen on the Get In Get On portal www.directionsgetin.org.uk and at the end of the month, you are automatically removed from the system.
You will then receive weekly updates on other opportunities in the sector such as apprenticeships and school leaver schemes and be invited to attend events where you can meet employers.
