Thinking of taking a Gap Year?
The programme involves moving away from home for 6-12 months and volunteering on a full-time basis at one of hundreds of projects across the UK. Accommodation, and subsistence is provided which includes food and day to day expenses also volunteers are provided with relevant training and support. All CSV’s placements are community based, supporting a wide variety of people to develop or manage their own lives.
The types of placements are extremely diverse and include volunteering with adults and children with physical disabilities / learning difficulties, enabling people to access leisure and community facilities, supporting students with disabilities at university; homeless people, older people, assisting in schools, enabling adults with disabilities to live independently in their own home, mentoring and befriending young people at risk of offending or exclusion from education.
We do not require any experience or qualifications however volunteers need to be aged 18-35 when they start volunteering and be UK or EU nationals living in the UK.
