Alternative routes to a Law Career

Interesting email from Colleen McGuinness Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce

Well, I have been busting to tell you and now I can.........MMU will be delivering the training for the Legal Services apprenticeship (formerly known as the Paralegal apprenticeship) level 3.   The successful candidates will be registered as a student of MMU for the 18 – 24 months it takes to gain this qualification, attending the School of Law for their training.     They will also gain a 60 credit University law qualification in addition to the L3 programme.     The students will have access to all the facilities that regular students access; they will also be eligible for a NUS card.  We have agreed a salary of £12,000.00 pa in the first year.   This is a wonderful opportunity for young people who would like a career in Law but are put off by the debt!
We believe this is a first and that the North West is leading the charge (no change there then!).

Application forms can be found on Blackpool Sixth Moodle page in the FYi Futures section.
