Part time job available May 2015

Part Time Jobs Available

The working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm.  We are looking into working a few evenings as well (probably until 7.30pm), which might help if they want to pick up more hours.  Its not compulsory though.

TELESALES:

This will be unlike any other telesales job out there.  You won't even be selling!

Were a new company, with new ideas.  Our priority - believe it or not - is to keep a smile on your face.  Thats because a happy workforce is a successful one, and in a commission based environment, a successful workforce is a rich one.

Were looking for confident people with outgoing personalities.  You'll be speaking to local business owners, briefly explaining what we do, and then arranging an appointment for a demonstration.  Thats it!  A sales agent then goes to your appointment, and once thats closed, you get your commission.

To give you an idea of what you could earn, a telesales person who has just 5 appointments closed per week would earn £1400 that month.  We also have completely flexible hours to suit you and your college commitments.

So, if you want to work in brand new offices in Poulton-le-Fylde, and as part of a team where the emphasis is on a relaxed atmosphere and having fun, then get in touch.  We would love to hear from you!

WEB DESIGNER:

Do you find web design interesting?  Maybe you've been building websites on and off for a while as a hobby?

How would you like to get paid to do it?

Were looking for a web designer who has some experience, and plenty of creativity.  What you're unsure of, we can teach you.  In return, we can offer you a generous salary, a fantastic working atmosphere, and a position in a quickly expanding company.

We can also offer completely flexible hours to suit you and your college commitments.

So, if you want to work in brand new offices in Poulton-le-Fylde, and as part of a team where the emphasis is on a relaxed atmosphere and having fun, then get in touch.  We would love to hear from you!

If they need to get in touch with me personally, then my mobile number is 07792147993, and they can email me on this address.

Apprenticeship guidance document for Cii The Chartered Insurance Institute

Good afternoon

I hope that you had a good Easter break.

I wanted to share with you the CII’s updated Apprenticeship guidance document. I know that there has been increased interest in Apprenticeships from students and parents, particularly in light of last month’s National Apprenticeship Week, and there has also been change in how Apprenticeships are structured.

This document provides an overview with a focus on insurance and financial services, but also has some broader commentary around the frameworks.

Please share with colleagues and any other interested parties. I’m very happy to discuss its content and present to students on the pros and cons of Apprenticeships versus university.

Have a good evening.

UK universities 'punch above weight' globally

University of CambridgeThe University of Cambridge took second place in the new rankingsUK universities continue to "punch above their weight" in terms of their international reputation, suggests a new global table.
Of the world's 100 most prestigious universities, 12 are in the UK, according to the 2015 Times Higher Education world reputation rankings.
The table is based on the views of a global panel of leading academics
Rankings editor Phil Baty urged careful protection and better funding for "real jewels in the UK's crown".
Researchers analysed responses from almost 10,000 academics to a survey carried out in December and January.
'Super-brands'
The academics invited to take part were chosen based on United Nations data to ensure an accurate reflection of the global distribution of scholars.
They were asked to nominate the best institutions in their field of expertise.

The UK's Cambridge University took second place and Oxford third, with Massachusetts Institute of Technology fourth, Stanford fifth and University of California Berkeley in sixth place.
Times Higher Education describes these as "an elite group of six US and UK 'super-brands' that stands head and shoulders above the rest".

Overall there were 12 UK universities in the top 100, up two from 2014:

Other top-ranked UK universities were:
  • Durham
  • Warwick
  • Bristol
  • London Business School
"It is clear from this latest research that the UK is punching well above its weight in higher education globally," said Mr Baty.
But he added "these incredibly valuable assets need to be carefully protected" and urged a "clear vision" from politicians on funding "as other nations invest heavily in their top universities".
"The UK's universities deserve, and desperately need, strong financial support," he said.
Nicola Dandridge, chief executive of Universities UK, said it was a real achievement that the UK retained the second strongest university system in the world "despite spending far less on it" compared with major competitors.
"That is why, ahead of May's general election, Universities UK is calling on all political parties to close this international funding gap, to support universities' international activities and to develop a sustainable student funding system in England," said Ms Dandridge.
